In accordance with AB 1200 school districts must inform the public with regard to issues that are currently in negotiations with the respective collective bargaining groups.  On May 20, 2016 a tentative agreement was reached between the Duarte Unified School District and the California School Employees Association (CSEA) for a 4.5% salary schedule increase for the 2015-16 fiscal year, retroactive to July 1, 2015, and an $800 a year health benefit increase, retroactive to March 1, 2016.

It is recommended that the Governing Board conduct a public hearing on the AB 1200 Public Disclosure and Tentative Agreement between the Duarte Unified School District and the California School Employees Association (CSEA) for a 4.5% salary schedule increase for the 2015-16 fiscal year, retroactive to July 1, 2015, and an $800 a year health benefit increase, retroactive to March 1, 2016.

Duarte Unified School District participates in the Single Budget Option for adoption of its budget.  The option requires that after an advertised public hearing is held, the budget be adopted prior to July 1, 2016.



 
Recommended Motion:

Approve the Duarte Unified School District’s Adopted Budget for the 2016-2017 fiscal year.
