Director Daniels called the Policy Subcommittee Meeting to order at 2:17pm.

Approval of Agenda.
Motion to approve meeting agenda:
Alper/Daniels and approved 2-0.

Approval of Minutes
Motion to approve minutes for August 25, 2016:
Alper/Daniels and approved 2-0 

Public Comment
Two community members commented on the expulsion AR. 

Expulsion AR
Alper welcomed feedback and clarified that unlike a BP, an AR is implemented and approved by the Superintendent.

Firearms on School Grounds – BP 3515.7
Daniels explained that a recently passed law amended the concealed weapon law. Participants discussed CSBA’s sample BP 3515.7 and amended language to reflect District practices.

Motion to approve amendments to BP 3515.7 and to present it for first reading at the next Board meeting on 9/21:
Alper/Daniels and unanimously approved 2-0.
