C.3. R.J. Fisher Sports Complex Financial Update Quick Summary / Abstract: Assistant Superintendent-Business Services/CBO and the Superintendent seek direction from the Governing Board regarding an increase to the R.J. Fisher Sports Complex construction budget of $410K. Action may be taken. Rationale: On March 27, 2015, the Governing Board authorized staff to execute the general trades contract for Beals Martin in the amount of $4,379,630. The contract provides for contingencies to reduce costs in the event the project is over-budget. At this time, the R.J. Fisher Middle School Sports Complex is over-budget by $410K. An overview of the revised cost estimate including three contingency options to reduce costs as well as additional funding sources will be presented to the Governing Board for discussion. Staff seeks direction on how to proceed. The Board may take action to reduce costs.   Recommended Motion: Assistant Superintendent-Business Services/CBO and the Superintendent seek direction from the Governing Board regarding the R.J. Fisher Sports Complex general trade contract for Beals Martin. Action may be taken. Financial Impact: Potential cost increase of $410,000.
