Background

At its meeting of November 1, 2012, the Board appointed nine community members to serve on the Citizens’ Oversight Committee for Measure M.  The term of the current Committee members expire in 2020 and 2021.

G.1. Measure M (Parcel Tax) Adopted Consumer Price Index Adjustment
Rationale:

Background Information

At its meeting on March 13, 2019, the Board approved the recommendation from the Citizens’ Oversight Committee on increasing the parcel tax by the CPI in effect as of June 30, 2018, for the 2018-19 budget year.  The estimated CPI for 2019-20 is 3.18% (provided by School Services of California at it January 16, 2019, Governor’s Budget Workshop).

H.1. Presentation of “Draft” 2018-19 Annual Report to the Board
Rationale:

Background

As part of the ballot Measure M, the Citizens’ Oversight Committee for Measure M is required to report annually to the Board of Trustees and the public regarding the expenditure of such funds.  At its meeting on February 12, 2019, the Committee moved to present its annual report to the Board at its meeting on June 26, 2019.
