It is recommended that the Board of Trustees receive information regarding the progress of the Scotts Valley Middle School construction project since June. Mike Smith, Project Manager, will provide a verbal report and share some videos of the demolition and construction progress that has occurred since school was out in June.

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the contract with M3 Environmental Consulting LLC to conduct asbestos-containing materials (ACM) and lead containing paint (LCP) abatement oversight services for the renovation of SVMS Wings A, B, C and the Old Administration Building. |

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees accept for first reading the job description for Scotts Valley Unified School District, Behavior Intervention Specialist.
|
According to Board Policy 4119.3(a) “the Superintendent or designee shall prepare and regularly update job descriptions for all positions.” A new job description has been created for Behavior Intervention Specialist, to reflect the necessary duties, responsibilities and qualifications required to hold this position. This is not an additional position but rather, an update to an existing position.

It is recommended that the Board approve the Consent Agenda as presented.

Staff recommends that the Board of Trustees approve the Certificated Action Report.
|
As per Board Policy 4117.2 the Board authorizes the Superintendent or designee to accept the written resignation of an employee and to set its effective date. As per Board Policy 4211 the Superintendent or designee shall determine the personnel needs of the district and make recommendations to the Board of Trustees for employment.
