Rationale:

Due to the election being held on November 8 it is requested that the Board meeting for November 8 be changed to November 15.

 
.D. Approve the First Amendment to the Superintendent's Employment Agreement
Recommended Motion:

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the First Amendment to the Superintendent's Employment Agreement.

Rationale:

The Santa Cruz County Office of Education has requested clarification regarding the Superintendent’s Employment Agreement.  They believe that the basis of calculating the per diem is not clear and have asked for clarification.  The District’s Legal Counsel has been working with the County and has drafted an Amendment to the Agreement for purposes of clarity of intent.

Recommended Motion:

Staff Recommends that the Board of Trustees Approve the Classified Action Report


Rationale:

As per Board Policy 4211 the Superintendent or designee shall determine the personnel needs of the district and make recommendations to the Board of Trustees for employment.
