On March 8, 2018, the Board of Trustees approved the contract for American Asphalt,
as one of Measure L Projects for the Districtwide Security Fencing at San Mateo Park
Elementary School and Borel Middle School for $1,098,339, of which, $513,895 was

5.1.3. Foster City Elementary School - Interim Housing for Beach Park Elementary School - Cumiskey Construction Corporation
Rationale:

Construction on Beach Park Elementary School will not be completed in time for the 2020/2021 school year. Therefore, the District will install four portables at Foster City Elementary School as interim housing for Beach Park Elementary School.

The District through public contract code, solicited public bids for the installation of five portables at Foster City Elementary. Bid opening took place on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, and two contractors, Rodan Builders and Cumiskey Construction Corp. submitted a bid.  The lowest responsive bidder was Cumiskey Construction Corporation with total base bid of $464,000.00.

The District recommends awarding the contract in the amount of $464,000.00 to Cumiskey Construction Corporation to install four portables at Foster City Elementary School during the summer of 2020. The District anticipates a credit for only installing four portables as opposed to five.  The District anticipates coordinating this credit with Cumiskey.  The contract is funded through Developer Fees.
