5.1. School Calendar for 2020-2021 (v)

Rationale:
Staff is proposing a change in the adopted school calendar for 2020-2021. In order to provide professional development and staff preparation for implementing Distance Learning, it is requested that all professional development days (September 18, January 4 and March 12) move to the beginning of the school year and become instructional days. This would mean that professional development and staff preparation would occur on August 12, 13, and 14, 2020. Students would begin instruction on August 17, 2020 and would engage in the required 180 days of instruction throughout the 2020-2021 year.

Recommended Motion:
IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES APPROVE THE PROPOSED CHANGES IN THE ADOPTED SCHOOL CALENDAR FOR 2020-2021

5.2. Learning Management Systems Was edited within 24 hours of the Meeting

Rationale:
The Board will receive information on two Learning Management Systems: Altitude and See Saw and provide direction to staff.

Recommended Motion:
IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES RECEIVE INFORMATION ON LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS: ALTITUD AND SEE SAW AND PROVIDE DIRECTION TO STAFF.

5.3. Facilities Master Plan (FMP)

Rationale:
The Board will review the proposed Facilities Master Plan and discuss priorities.

Recommended Motion:
IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES REVIEW AND DISCUSS THE FACILITIES MASTER PLAN.
