School districts that train and educate their governance teams are making an important investment in the leadership of the district which has a direct bearing of the effectiveness of the organization to achieve its mission and vision. All members of the governance team bring valuable skills to the school district. Board members and the superintendent have much to learn from each other no matter how long someone has been serving in their position. There are always new things to learn, new challenges to address and new problems to solve.

Governance training provides valuable opportunities for teams to connect and form stronger relationships that will them think and act as one team when facing challenging issues. It promotes candor and straight-talking on tough issues without causing harmful discord on the Governance team.
