The San Francisco 49ers Academy (49ers Academy) is integrated into the public school system to provide students (grades 6-12) with a comprehensive community of support that connects youth to caring adults and resources designed to help them succeed. Founded in 1996, the 49ers Academy has been dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable students in East Palo Alto to help them succeed in school and close the achievement gap through academic programs and needs-based services. |
The San Francisco 49ers Academy brings programs and community resources into schools to empower success for all students by removing barriers for vulnerable students at risk of dropping out, keeping kids in schools and on the path to graduation and leveraging evidence, relationships and local resources to drive results. To meet students’ individual needs and promote a path to academic success by: - Building partnerships with parents, teachers, school district leaders and community service agencies to ensure students’ holistic needs are met both inside and outside the classroom.
- Providing individualized wraparound support and case management through mentorship, family empowerment, academic success, enrichment opportunities, community engagement and social-emotional learning.
The San Francisco 49ers Academy will bring support and resources to CCRMS by doing the following: - Partner with CCRMS and district leadership to identify where the San Francisco 49ers Academy can have the greatest impact at CCRMS.
- Partner with local agencies, businesses and foundations to garner support for the San Francisco 49ers Academy and its work at CCRMS.
- Mobilizes community resources to address academic and non-academic barriers for students at CCRMS.
- Continuously evaluate
s their work at all levels to ensure progress is made and goals are met. - Provide programs and services for targeted students during and after the school day (following CCRMS after school and summer school programming guidelines through:
- School-wide strategies
- Targeted, needs-based services
- Intensive individualized support

- Provide CCRMS with quarterly reports by tracking data (behavior, engagement, academic, attendance) and progress through student, family and teacher surveys, caseworker quarterly progress feedback, and annual reports.

The Art David Athletic League (ADL) is an athletic league that consists of 13 SF Bay Area Peninsula Middle Schools. Cesar Chaves Ravenswood Middle school will participate in the athletic league which will provide the scheduling, keep track of the league standings, and host the playoff finals for each sport. The sports that CCRMS will be participating in are co-ed flag football, volleyball, cross country, soccer, and basketball. |
Participation in The Art David Athletic League will give Ravenswood students the opportunity to compete with other middle school students. |

A major highlight of the CCRMS curriculum is the annual field trip to Yosemite for seventh graders. This wonderful experience immerses students in nature for a week in late April. NatureBridge facilitates all aspects of the overnight experience. REF has budgeted to make this trip possible. |

The mission of Vida Verde is to promote educational equity by providing free, overnight environmental learning experiences for students who don’t otherwise get the opportunity to do so.Spending time in the majestic Redwoods allow children the opportunity to “know” nature in ways that may not have been available to them. This experience can be life-changing. Vida Verde states that there is a large number of positive outcomes from time spent in nature -- reduction of stress, improved test scores, long-term improvements to self-esteem, cooperation and conflict resolution skills. All 5th graders in Ravenswood City School District will attend a 3 day, 2 night outdoor experience with Vida Verde. |

This agreement with SMCOE is for professional development around practices that support English Language Development. Gracie Hough, EL Coordinator at SMCOE, will facilitate 3 sessions with Belle Haven School, and 3 sessions with our Ravenswood Instructional Leadership Team around best practices to implement integrated and designated ELD within and across grade level content with an assets based orientation, inclusive of language development and culturally responsive instruction, for all students. Participants will review and enact principle one of the English Learner Roadmap in understanding of EL typologies, language levels, and instruction for English Learners and all students. |
The EL Roadmap is a statewide resource designed to assist local educational agencies (LEAs) as they implement California’s twenty-first century college- and career-ready standards, curriculum, instructional programs, and assessments for English learners. The EL Roadmap consists of 4 principles to guide quality service to EL students. Principle 1 is around Assets-Oriented and Needs-Responsive Schools, which is where our ELD PD will begin. This PD is aligned to Strategic Priority 1.2 in our Strategic Plan, as well as Broad Goal 1 and Focus Goal 3 in our LCAP. |
