Staff will introduce this special recognition honoring teachers who have recently accrued tenure in either the San Rafael Elementary or San Rafael High School District. A cake reception will follow the recognition.
|
Credentialed teachers earn tenure after accruing and successfully completing two years of classroom teaching. The achievement and designation as a tenured teacher reflects the recommendation of site and district level administrators of each individual teacher's performance. All teachers who have accrued tenure effective with the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year have been invited to be present and recognized this evening. The list of teachers to be honored is below:

Assistant Superintendent Amy Baer reviewed the process for a teacher to achieve tenure in San Rafael City Schools. She acknowledged every teacher by name and those present were congratulated individually by the Board.
Superintendent Watenpaugh noted his pride in the tenured teachers, acknowledging their work with the diverse population of students in San Rafael.
