This is an opportunity for the Board to hear testimony from the public regarding the listed item the adoption of our 2020-21 budget. Based on the May Revise, the proposed budget represents a ten to twelve percent reduction of revenue and prepares us for a variety of deferrals that the state is proposing to implement in the current and future years. 5.1. Approve Resolution No. 20-21-07 Ordering an Election to Authorize the Issuance of School Bonds, Establishing Specification of the Election Order, and Requesting Consolidation with Any other Elections Occurring on November 3, 2020.
Quick Summary / Abstract:
After careful consideration and review of our options to address the needs of our school facilities and our students educational services and safety, I am proposing that we place a measure on the November 3 2020 Ballot to raise three million dollars in the sale of bonds. The resolution includes the full text of the Bond Measure, facilities projects to be funded from the bond proceeds, and the ballot measure language. The approximate tax rate to raise the three million dollars is ---.
