Educator Effectiveness Grant provides one time funding to county offices of education, school districts, charter schools, and state special schools to provide professional learning for teachers, administrators, paraprofessionals, and classified staff in order to promote educator equity, quality, and effectiveness.

5.2. Approve First Reading of the AB 130 A-G Completion Improvement Grant Plan

5.6. Approve Job description and proposed salary for a new Attendance Improvement and Family Engagement Coordinator Position.
Quick Summary / Abstract:
We are proposing to revise our ESSER III Federal COVID revenue plan to create and higher an Attendance Improvement and Family Engagement Coordinator position to assist our students and families with attendance issues. We are experiencing increased chronic absenteeism rates and would like to take a proactive approach to assisting students and families with attendance issues and working to coordinate with the family support agencies in our communities. The Attendance Improvement and Family Engagement Coordinator would work on each of our campuses each week to coordinate and implement attendance improvement efforts. In the future this position may be funded with Forest Reserve Funding.

5.7. Approve J-13A waiver for flood damaged Independent Studies files that were damaged during a flood that occurred at the Jefferson/Siskiyou Pathways building.
Quick Summary / Abstract:
Our Auditors received guidance form the state that we need to submit this J-13A waiver because our Independent Studies files were lost/damaged during a flood that occurred at the Jefferson/Siskiyou Pathways building on January 5, 2021. Independent Studies files for the 2019-20 year were destroyed because of the flood. It came to our attention that these files and records were destroyed when our auditors requested the files for the 2019-20 audit purposes.
