When a group files a petition to renew a charter school, a school district must hold a public hearing about the renewal within 30 days. CUSD received a charter renewal petition for Pivot North Valley at the regularly scheduled CUSD board meeting on August 28, 2019.
This hearing gives the public and Board of Education the opportunity to ask questions about the proposed charter petition. The charter petition will come back to the Board at the October 16, 2019 Board Meeting.
Pivot North Valley is an independent charter school, meaning funds for Chico Unified students choosing this charter go directly to Pivot North Valley.
