The EEO-5 Survey for 2018 is presented for information.

The EEO-5 Survey collects information of public elementary and secondary school districts with one-hundred (100) or more employees as of October 1 of the survey year.  The survey is conducted biennially in every even numbered-year.  The information includes employment totals, employees' job categories, and sex, race and ethnic groups.

The 2018-19 Second Interim Budget Report provides a financial update of the District’s current General Fund budget and other funds. The General Fund is the District’s central operational budget while other funds are designed for special purposes. The second interim report covers the reporting period from July 1, 2018, through January 31, 2019.

Projected revenue and expenditures are developed in consideration of the Governor’s 2019-20 State Budget Proposal released on January 15, 2019. The Board of Trustees was provided a summary of the state budget proposal at the January 15, 2019, regular board meeting.

The Board of Trustees is presented budget revisions by major object codes. The major object codes categorize the different types of revenues or expenditures.  Special items within this summary may have previously been authorized by the Board of Trustees.  The items may have been presented separately with a request to place them in the budget, or the State budget proposal may have necessitated changes in the budget which were presented to the Board.  Personnel changes affect the District’s budget as individuals leave or change positions, and new personnel are hired, requiring salary and benefit budget lines to be revised.  Funds not expected to be expensed in the current year are set aside in the fund balance and/or brought forward to the 2019-20 fiscal year.  Each resource and program, and the associated revenues and expenditures were reviewed, analyzed, and revised based on the most up-to-date information and estimates available.

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the 2018-19 Second Interim Budget Report and Budget Revisions.

The California School Boards Association (CSBA) has notified the District there will be an election of representatives to CSBA's Delegate Assembly.  The ballot contains the name of several individuals nominated by member boards in this region (Subregion 8-C).  There are a total of two (2) vacancies for 2019.  Attached are the biographical sketches for each nominated individual.  This ballot must be submitted to CSBA on or before Friday, March 15, 2019.

The Board of Trustees may vote for no more than two (2) candidates from the following nominees: (*denotes incumbent)

Submitted for the Board's review and approval is an updated job description for the position of Director of Professional Learning and Induction. The updated description captures the current job responsibilities and expectations for this position.

Staff recommends approval of the revised and updated job description for the position of Director of Professional Learning and Induction.

3. The donation of $100.00 from David Garcia with Clark Construction Group, LLC to Sherwood Elementary School for student supplies and recognition.

4. The donation of $20.00 from Ben Luna to Standiford Elementary School for safety patrol supplies. 

5. The donation of $275.00 from Gap Inc. c/o CyberGrants, Inc. to  Stockard Coffee Elementary School for student supplies and recognition.
