As discussed at the board meeting on October 8, 2019, the carpet at Ustach Middle School is in need of replacement in areas.  Staff has been gathering information for flooring options and costs for the Ustach Modernization project.  We are looking for solutions to address the flooring prior to the completion of the first phase of work which is scheduled to be completed by November 15th.

The attached Change Order No. 2 consists of adding carpet back into the C buildings and the D building (20s, 40s, 60s, and 80s pods).  The library, storage room in the Multipurpose Room and front office buildings will keep the existing carpet.  There is approximately 19,000 square feet of carpet.  Cost is approximately $8 a square foot.
 
Recommended Motion:

Staff is recommending replacement of flooring on Change Order No. 2 at Ustach Middle School as part of the modernization project prior to the completion of phase one.
Financial Impact:

Change Order No. 2: $157,540.00

Funding Source: Resource 8150 (Restricted Maintenance)
