Public Comment – Members of the public may submit comments on items on the agenda, and any item within the jurisdiction of the school district in the following manner for meetings during the Shelter-in-Place Executive Order: Via a google form on this link: https://forms.gle/DnkdjWBXpuvoHGmo6 that will be opened to the public from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on the day of the meeting.

The Governing Board allows speakers to speak at regular meetings on agendized and non-agendized matters under public comment. Comments are limited to no more than three minutes per speaker. By law, no action may be taken on any item raised during the public comment periods and matters may be referred to staff for placement on a future agenda of the Governing Board.

The project is currently in the public bid process.  Bids are due March 30th.  A bid summary and staff recommendations will be presented to the board for consideration and possible action to award the contract for the Benicia Middle School Seismic upgrade project.

10.2. Second Reading and Approval of the Following Board Policy: BP/AR 1312.3 Uniform Complaint Procedures (Action Item)

Board Policy and Administrative Regulation 1312.3 - Uniform Complaint Procedures

The District has been working with CSBA on approving the Uniform Complaint Policy that would more closely comply with what the State needs due to the Federal Program Monitoring (FPM) that the District participated in 2 years ago. CSBA updated their Uniform Complaint Policy in December. This is a more current policy than the one we submitted and approved in October. This policy needs to be fast-tracked due to the deadlines for the FPM.

This policy was brought for a first reading at the March 18th meeting.
