G. COMMUNITY COMMENTS Quick Summary / Abstract: This time is reserved for the public to address the Board on items not on the agenda. Community members wishing to address the Board are allotted up to three (3) minutes per speaker. The Board and Administration welcome this opportunity to listen; however, the Board is not permitted to discuss or take action on non-agenda items, except to instruct the Superintendent to review the matter further, report back to the Board at a subsequent meeting or place the matter on a future agenda. H.7. 2020 CSBA Delegate Assembly Election Quick Summary / Abstract: The Board will consider casting a vote to fill four vacancies on the CSBA Delegate Assembly. (Mr. Baier) [10 minutes - Action] Rationale: The Santa Clara County, Region 20, CSBA Delegate Assembly has four vacancies for 2020. The Board has a whole may vote for up to the number of vacancies (4) in the region as indicated on the ballot. H.8. 2020-21 Board Meeting Calendar Quick Summary / Abstract: The Board will review and consider approving the 2020-21 Board Meeting Calendar. (Mr. Baier) [10 minutes - Action] Recommended Motion: It is recommended the Board approves the 2020-21 Regular Board Meeting Calendar as presented. Rationale: Each year, following the adoption of the District School Year Calendar, the Board considers approval of the Regular Board Meeting Calendar. Attached is a recommended draft of the 2020-21 Regular Board Meeting Calendar. It generally follows a second and fourth Monday pattern of meetings as we have done this year.   Attachments: A. Resolution #19/20-22, Support of Proposition 13: Public Preschool, K-12, and College Health and Safety Bond Act of 2020 Assembly Bill 48 (O'Donnell, Glazer) Quick Summary / Abstract: The Board will continue discussions and consider approval of a resolution in support of Proposition 13: Public Preschool, K-12, and College Health and Safety Bond Act of 2020. H.10. Board Policy Update: BB 9005, Governance Standards Quick Summary / Abstract: CSBA periodically advises districts of recommended changes in board policies, administrative regulations and board bylaws as a means to assist boards in keeping their policies current and reflecting all recent changes in law and regulations. The Board will review the updated wording for the following bylaw. (Mr. Baier) [5 minutes - Discussion] Recommended Motion: This item is for information only. Rationale: The policies of the Los Altos School District are influenced by federal, state, and local policies, statutes, and court decisions. In order to keep our policies current with the ongoing changes affecting our policies, the California School Boards Association (CSBA) periodically advises districts of recommended changes in board policies, administrative regulations and board bylaws as a means to assist boards in keeping their policies current and reflecting the changes in those laws and regulations. The Board will review the updated wording for the attached board bylaw. This is a first reading of the updated bylaw. Approval will occur at a future meeting.   Attachments: A.
