For special board meetings, individuals may only comment on agenda items. To submit comments on agenda items, use the GOOGLE FORM.
If a comment is received after Public Comment for the agenda item has been closed, it will be considered written communication and will be forwarded to the Governing Board.
Comments may not exceed three (3) minutes. If a comment takes longer than three (3) minutes to read aloud, the remainder will be considered written communication and forwarded to the Governing Board. |

Information concerning the consent items listed below has been forwarded to each Board member prior to the meeting for study. All items on the consent agenda will be approved with one motion which is not debatable and which requires unanimous vote for passage. If any member of the Board, the Superintendent, or the public so requests, an item shall be removed from the section and placed on the regular order of business following the approval of the consent agenda.

The service contracts as of July 30, 2020 are presented to the Governing Board for approval and action. It is the recommendation of the Chief Business Official and Superintendent that the Governing Board approve the service contracts for the payment of services as presented. |

An updated list of Authorized Signers for payments from District funds is presented to the Governing Board for approval and action. |
California Education Code 42633 states that the Governing Board of each school district shall be responsible for filing or causing to be filed with the County Superintendent of Schools the verified signature of each person authorized to sign orders in the district's name. Any changes to the authorized signatures must submitted to the Santa Clara County Office of Education. Sarah Tellez, incoming Assistant Superintendent, is added to the list. |

District administrators will provide an update on the reopening plan to the Governing Board for discussion. |
At the July 14th board meeting, a detailed reopening plan for the 2020-2021 school year was presented to the Board of Trustees. Three days following the board meeting, the governor announced that schools on the state COVID watchlist could not resume in-person instruction until they had been off the watchlist for 14 consecutive days. Santa Clara County is currently on the watchlist. The administrative staff will provide an update to the board of preparation plans to begin the school year. This will include information gained from three parent surveys. |
