4.a. *Recommendation for Governing Board Approval of PCR Principal, R7-19-20

Rationale:

Background 

There is a need to hire a PCR Principal.  The Governing Board must approve all employment contracts.  

Current Considerations 

After an extensive search, the Superintendent is recommending to the Governing Board Mr. Cory Pak for the position of PCR Principal.  Mr. Pak has 22 years of public school experience with 14 years of experience as an Elementary Principal with the Saugus Union School District.  

Financial Implications 

Mr. Pak’s salary will follow the LCUSD Certificated Confidential, Managerial, Supervisory, and Administrative (CMSA) salary schedule, Elementary Principal, 12 months, Step 7 with the annual salary of $145,582.
 
Recommended Motion:

It is recommended that the Governing Board vote to approve Mr. Cory Pak as PCR Principal with a July 29, 2019 start date.
