C. COMMUNICATIONS TO THE BOARD
C.1. Opportunity for Public Comment on this Special Meeting Topic

There was no public comment.
Quick Summary / Abstract:

The Board recognizes the value of public comment on educational issues, and provides this time for members of the audience to address the Board on this Special Meeting topic. Each speaker is requested to identify him/herself prior to addressing the Board and will be heard once for up to three minutes. The presiding officer of the Board shall determine, based on time constraints of the Board, whether some time less than three minutes shall be allocated to individual speakers.

D. BOARD WORKSHOP
Minutes:
Greg Isom of Isom Advisors presented the Board with information regarding the possibility of a school improvement bond measure for the Mill Valley School District. Mr. Isom provided information regarding the District's bond and assessed value history along with pertinent information and timelines as it relates to exploring the feasibility of a bond measure. Mr. Isom also provided information and analysis regarding refinancing of past bond debt. The Board provided direction to the Superintendent to explore the feasibility of a bond along with direction to explore refunding of current bond debt. Trustees Uhlhorn and Wachtel volunteered to meet regularly with the Superintendent on this matter. Old Mill parent Jessica Newman stated she is interested in helping guide the process.

The Board will meet with Greg Isom, Isom Advisors to consider the feasibility of a school improvement bond measure for the Mill Valley School District. The discussion will include an overview of District Bond and Assessed Value History of the District, District Bonding Capacity, General Obligation Bond Proceed options, Voter demographics, Timeline for a 2020 consideration, Refunding Analysis and Timeline.

Minutes:
Trustee Pardi adjourned the meeting at 4:15pm.
