N.1. Annual Organizational Meeting - December 13, 2018 (d)

Per Education Code 35143 the date and time of the annual organizational meeting must be selected by the Governing board at a regular board meeting held prior to December 1, 2018.   The organizational meeting must be held within the 15-day period that commences December 1, 2018.  It is recommended that the Mill Valley School District Board select December 13, 2018, the date of their regularly scheduled meeting, for their annual organizational meeting.

O.1. 2019-20 Budget Development Calendar (d)(v)
Rationale:

The Budget Development calendar for 2019-20 is designed as a working document for the remainder of the fiscal year and a guide for the 2019-20 Budget Adoption.  Many of the dates and timelines are determined by the State Budget Act and the district's required financial reporting periods.

The proposed budget is reviewed as part of the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) and the State's eight State Priorities:  Basic Services; Implementation of Standards; Parental Involvement; Pupil Academic Achievement; Pupil Engagement; School Climate; Course Access and Other Pupil Outcomes.
